A 30x40 photograph of the 1988 Slam Dunk Contest, hand signed by Michael Jordan in silver paint pen. Jordan hangs in the air at Chicago Stadium with the ball cocked back, the hanging scoreboard above him reading Wilkins 145, Jordan 97. Each photo is custom framed and matted and arrives ready to hang. The image is a stock image, and your piece may vary slightly.

The 1988 All-Star Weekend was in Chicago, and the final came down to Jordan and Dominique Wilkins. Wilkins finished on 145. Jordan needed a 49 on his last dunk to win, so he ran the length of the floor, took off from the free throw line and scored a perfect 50. He won 147 to 145 for his second straight title, in front of 18,403 fans in his home building.

The next day he scored 40 points in the All-Star Game and was named its MVP.

Authentication

Every signature in our store is authenticated by an independent third party before we touch it. This one is certified by Upper Deck Authenticated, and the numbered certificate ships in the box.

You look that number up with Upper Deck rather than with us, so the record proving the signature is genuine does not depend on our word. Some of our pieces also carry a Custom Authentics hologram serial as a second record alongside the certificate. Learn about serial verification.

Common questions

Where is the signature? On the photo, in silver paint pen. Placement varies from piece to piece because each photo is signed individually.

Will my piece look exactly like the image? The image is a stock image, so your piece may vary slightly. The matting, signature placement and certification serial can differ from the example shown.

Why does it take 2 to 3 weeks? The signature is authenticated and certified before we do anything. Only then is the photo framed by hand and packed with its certificate.

Can I return it? No. All sales are final. If your piece arrives damaged in transit, contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Full details are on our shipping and returns page.
