A 16x20 photograph of Shohei Ohtani on the mound in the Angels home whites, number 17, mid-delivery with the ball in his throwing hand. It is hand-signed in silver across the grass on the left side of the image, and custom framed in black over red matting.
The autograph is certified twice, with an MLB Authentication hologram and a Fanatics Authentic hologram on the lower left corner of the photograph, each carrying its own serial number.
With the Angels, Ohtani was the unanimous American League MVP in 2021 and again in 2023. In 2022 he became the first player in MLB history to qualify as both a hitter and a pitcher in the same season, going 15-9 with a 2.33 ERA and 219 strikeouts on the mound. This photo is the pitching half of that two-way story. Our signed batting photo is the other half.

Authentication
MLB Authentication tags each item it certifies with a tamper-proof hologram carrying a unique serial number, which you can trace in the authentication database on MLB.com. Fanatics Authentic adds its own hologram, and the number printed on it can be checked on Fanatics' own verification page. The certification ships in the box.
You look those numbers up with MLB and Fanatics rather than with us, and that is the point: the record proving the signature is genuine does not depend on our word. Many of our pieces also carry a Custom Authentics hologram serial as a second record alongside that certification, never a replacement for it, which you can check on our serial number verification page.
Common questions
Where is the autograph? On the front of the photograph, in silver. On the piece pictured it runs across the grass to the left of Ohtani. Because each photo is signed and certified on its own, the exact placement can differ from the photo shown.
Why two holograms? The signature is certified by two programs, MLB Authentication and Fanatics Authentic. Each hologram has its own serial number and its own lookup, on MLB.com and on Fanatics' site.
Why does it take 2 to 3 weeks? The signature is authenticated and certified before we do anything. Only then is the photograph framed by hand and packed with its certification.
Can I return it? No. All sales are final. Full details are on our shipping and returns page.
